Join our RISE training and network group.
We offer an opportunity for teachers to join a group of six health teachers from different schools to meet virtually twice a term with our Director Emily Lockhart. The sessions include input from Emily and a chance to network with other teachers and share experiences and ideas.
How does it work?
- Meet twice a term online for 2 hours
- Each term we unpack a key concept with input from Emily and a chance to share and hear from the other participants.
- Each session includes tasks for you to work on in your school.
The key concepts we unpack include:
- Virtues – Compassion, patience, kindness, gentleness, humility – in curriculum (virtue lane for primary school)
- Key topics – puberty, gender and sexuality, consent, respectful relationships, discrimination, Sex Ed.
- Pedagogy – Discussion based learning, thinking routines, journaling.
- Project – Planning for the following year, Whole School Approach. How can you incorporate this into pastoral care, camps, chapel, significant days – the sky is the limit!
This program is $600 for the year per teacher.
