My First Period Kit is an activity booklet for year 4-5 students to prepare for their first peiod. The Booklet can be used in class or can be a parent – daughter activty.
Each page helps a young girl to consider what she might need to organsie to be able to manage her first period and beyond. The booklet takes the child through the steps to make a My First Period Kit which she can then have in her school bag ready for use when she gets her first period.
Talking about periods can be difficult in primary school and the My First Period Kit provide support for teachers, parents, and students to work together. This resoruce was requested by primary teachers in WA to help them open up conversations and also for use at parent – daughter workshops.
