A Virtue-Based Protective Behaviours Program
Living Free is a Christ-centred protective behaviours program that empowers children to embrace the freedom God gives – to live safely, love others well, and grow in character. Grounded in the belief that true freedom comes from God, this program teaches students they are made in His image. They are valued, worthy, and deeply loved.
Through six key topics – free to be me, free to be kind, free to feel, free to ask for help, free to say no, and free to play – students explore the tools and truths they need to protect themselves and others with wisdom and grace.
At the heart of Living Free are the five Virtue Community values: patience, humility, compassion, gentleness, and kindness. These virtues are woven through every lesson, helping children develop not just safety skills, but strong Christlike character.
As adults, we are called by God to protect the vulnerable and uphold the dignity of every child. Creating environments where children feel safe, heard, and respected is not just a social responsibility, it is a spiritual one. Jesus Himself modelled care for the little ones, reminding us of their great value in God’s kingdom:
“Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me… See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.”
— Matthew 18:5,10 (NIV)
Living Free gives children the courage to speak up, the confidence to set boundaries, and the understanding that their freedom is a gift; meant to be nurtured, protected, and lived out in love.
